NUFFIELD MINI ANGELS 42 -v- PHOENIX 17

Nuffield Mini Angels continue their winning streak with a convincing win over Phoenix in this Premier A match.   Angels started strongly taking a 10-2 lead at the end of the first quarter with some great circle play from Donna O’Connor and Sharon Grigg.  

The second quarter saw Phoenix up their game with Angels only scoring 6 goals that quarter to Phoenix’s 4.      

Angels soared ahead in the third quarter with some excellent defensive play from Sharon Broughton, Leeana Tempro and Jo Haynes keeping Phoenix attack to 6 goals in the quarter.   Lou Dowd worked hard in centre court combining well with WA Nikki Millings to provide some great feeds into the circle helping extend Angels goal advantage to 31-12 by the end of the third.   Angels captain Elisa McKinley said she was extremely happy with the team performance and the final 42-17 scoreline.
