Under 17 and Under 19 players at the Excel squad training camp experienced a training session with a difference last week.   Shock Absorber, official sports bra supplier to the England National Netball Team, came to present to the 42 strong squad and offer free sports bra fittings and advice.

The girls were encouraged to view the Shock Absorber “Bounce O meter”, www.shockabsorber.co.uk/bounceometer to demonstrate the degree of movement experienced when playing a sport like netball.  The squad and coaches were fitted and will all receive ‘Max Sports Bra Tops’ to wear during training and matches.  The bra fitting resulted in a few shocked responses from players, which highlighted the huge proportion of women and girls who frequently wear the wrong size bra.

Two players were awarded with a cash and kit bursary by Kirsty Kothakota, Senior Brand Manager at Shock Absorber.  Natalie Haythornthwaite and Lauren Massey were selected based on their overall netballing performance and potential both as individuals and as team players, by Excel Head Coach, Jan Crabtree.
